# Which scanner can I use?

In pack mode and scan mode you scan receipts and labels directly on the PC. Almost any standard 2D barcode scanner is suitable for this.

## On the PC

- You need a **2D scanner** with USB or wireless that works like a keyboard. It "types" the scanned code and finishes with Enter. This is the default setting on most scanners.
- Many pharmacies already have a scanner like this at the till. You can use it for apomap too.
- No drivers or setup in apomap are needed. Plug in the scanner, open **Pack mode** or **Scan mode**, scan.

## On the road
