# How do I plan a tour?

Select orders, choose a driver, done. apomap calculates the best order and sends the tour straight to the driver app.

## 1. Select orders

Open **Tour planning** and select the orders that should go on the tour. There are three ways to do this:

- **Tick:** Tick each order on the left.
- **Scan:** Click the **scan icon** next to the **+** and scan the receipts or apomap labels. This is the fastest way. → How do I plan orders with scan mode?
- **On the map:** Mark an area with the lasso tool. → How do I plan tours on the map?

Then click **Plan tour** at the bottom.

## 2. Set up the tour

- **Name:** for example "Morning tour"
- **Start time** and, if needed, **end time**
- **Central delivery service:** only with several locations → What does central delivery service mean?
- **Drivers:** Tick one or more drivers. For each driver you choose **Start**, **End**, **Vehicle** and, if needed, their own **start time** and **end time**.

If you choose several drivers, apomap distributes the orders between them automatically.

Under **Advanced settings** you specify the earliest and latest pickup times at the pharmacies involved. This only applies to this tour. → Basic and optimisation parameters for tour planning

## 3. Create the tour

Click **Create tour**. apomap optimises the route in a few seconds. The tour appears on the right under **Planned** and at the same time in the driver app. Your driver can start right away.

|| Note: If orders fall outside the time you chose for the tour, apomap shows a red notice at the top with the affected orders. Then adjust the start time or the orders' time windows.

|| Tip: If you drive certain tours every week, for example a doctors' tour, let apomap create them automatically. → How do I create and manage recurring tours?
