How do I set up an Epson printer?

With an Epson label printer from the TM-i series you print labels directly from apomap. Setup takes about 10 minutes.

1. Add the printer in apomap

Under Settings → Printers, click Create printer. Enter a name, for example "Back office printer", and choose the location and printer type Epson.

In the list you see the SDP link for the new printer. Copy it – you'll need it in a moment.

3. Find the printer's IP address

Connect the printer to your network. It gets an IP address from your router and prints a label with the network information. The IP address is in the first line, for example 192.168.0.91.

4. Configure the printer

  1. On a PC in the same network, open the browser and enter https:// followed by the IP address, for example https://192.168.0.91.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Open EpsonNet Config for TM-i and then Server Direct Print.
  4. Set Server Direct Print to Enable.
  5. Under Server 1 → URL, paste the SDP link from apomap.
  6. Click Apply & Restart. Wait until the printer prints the network label again.

5. Test print

Open an order and print a label. The first print can take up to 10 seconds. → How can I use the print function?

In the printer list under Settings → Printers you can also see whether the printer is currently online.
