After registering: your setup checklist

Set up apomap for your pharmacy in eight steps – no appointment needed, you can get started right away.

Your account is ready. Now set up apomap so that your team and your drivers can work with it. You can do all of this yourself. It's best to work through the steps in order. Most of them only take a few minutes.

You'll find all settings at the bottom left of the menu under Settings.

1. Create more locations (only if you have several pharmacies)

You already created your main location when you registered. If you have more pharmacies, create them now under Settings → Pharmacies.

Plan: Multiple locations are available in the Enterprise plan.

→ Creating and managing locations

2. Add staff and drivers

Create a separate login for each person on your team, including your drivers. That way everyone only sees what they need for their work.

→ Adding staff and drivers and assigning roles

3. Require a signature for narcotics (BTM) and Rx

For narcotics and prescription-only medicines you need proof that the delivery reached the recipient. With these settings, your driver can only complete such orders with a signature.

  1. Go to Settings → General settings.
  2. Turn on Signature required for narcotics (BTM) orders.
  3. Turn on Signature required for Rx orders.

Important: We recommend activating both settings from the start. That way every narcotics and Rx delivery is documented in a legally compliant way.

4. Set up the integration with your pharmacy management system

With the integration, your delivery orders come from the till into apomap automatically. You then no longer have to create them by hand.

→ How do I add an integration? – you'll also find the guide for your pharmacy management system there.

5. Optional: connect hardware

Do you use an apomap Terminal, a label printer or a temperature tracker? Then set up the devices now, before your drivers get going.

6. Install the driver app

Install the apomap app on the delivery phone and sign in with the driver's login. Allow the app to access the location so you can see your drivers live on the map.

7. Turn on shipment tracking for your customers

Your customers get an email with a link and can see when their delivery will arrive. This saves you lots of phone calls.

8. Plan your first tour

All set up? Then get started and plan your first tour.
